MILLIONS of DEAD Native Fish, a river that never ran truly dry, as it is now, in hundreds, if now THOUSANDS, of years, the Menindee Lakes Water STORAGE Scheme, a GAZETTED ACT of Parliament to retain and SUPPLY a CONSTANT source of FRESH, Available Drinking WATER to towns and Grazing Properties that is now drier than a Nun's Nasty.
Native birds and animals dying from thirst and starvation.
Native fish and birds no longer able to breed BECAUSE their breeding grounds are little more than DESERTS.
People along the river and those inland who depend upon it via the Menindee-Broken Hill Pipeline are either running very short of water or having to IMPORT truck-loads of water at EXHORBITANT prices.
Graziers who either have to sell off their stock completely or merely cut their stock number down drastically and just retain a few of their better breeding stock are LITERALLY going to the wall every day.
A 30+ MILLION dollar Pipeline from Wentworth to Broken Hill that WILL only supply water to Broken Hill AND will add EXTRAS DOLLARS to our WAter Rates that are already beyond belief.
That same pipeline that was PROMISED to be in OPERATION by EARLY April but IS NOT and we are still on WATER Restrictions with either NO end in sight OR even heavier Restrictions to come.
The results of this UTTER and Unmittaged DEBACLE would take weeks, if not MONTHS to list here completely.
String the Bastards out along a 5 strand Barbed Wire Fence, give every person, man, woman and child, west of the Dying Darling River a good strong length of Boxthorn Bush, thorns included, and let them give each of the bastards 5 lashes per person, THEN jail them in a prison like Pentridge or Long Bay among the WORST Criminals of all FOR LIFE without Parole.
And DON"T forget to throw those mongrel Cotton and Rice Growers in as well.
