Bring up "special relationships", historic allies blah blah and remind them of how murders in embassies are forgiven....give us Assange!!!
Once Assange is back, work on kicking 'em out anyway.

Ironically whistle-blowing (break the privacy of government, including ATO and you get 160 years on trial but your privacy on the internet? Forget about it. There are things you'll only recieve if you're on the electrol roll) is illegal and we have many gag orders and don't have a strict right to free speech. That's one of the reasons I'm pro-republic is having a bill of rights. However USA does have capital punishment which Australia leaves to neglect of indigenous or refugees.
