Both sides of our neo-liberal duopoly have sold us out to global rentier capitalism. The Libs appear to be more blatant with in the way they have imposed austerity measures. Labor have been more effective fifth column agency via Hawke/Keating's 1983 Prices and Incomes Accord which decimated the union movement and led to the deregulation of the labour market. This with deregulating the banks served rentier capitalism well.

@FrayedBear Yes, unfortunately they are no better, just a prettier wrapper.
@Jolanta imo the only good wrapper any have is a wooden overcoat that has been rotting for 50 years.
