When I was a kid, my grandparents got me a book on North American birds (still have it). It gave the region of every species. I remember seeing that the Bald Eagle was only supposed to be in my area during the winter, so the first time I saw one in the middle of summer about 15 years ago, I was shocked! Now they are here year round, as are some other species that have migrated over here to stay.
