Anorexia is rough on the heart and at that level? Boy. The heart is s muscle too and if there aren't enough calories going in the body eats itself (including muscle as food).
That's really extreme.
We dealt with clients like that - that we just couldn't get better.
Same with bulimia and overeating disorders of other sorts - though usually nothing is quite as rapidly dangerous as anorexia. (IMHO). It makes me shudder to this day.
And there's a deep seated part of most people that makes you just want to feed someone who looks like that. (And they want no part of that).

There's no room in this world, at best....and here in your post, at least, for personal attacks.
The image shows that both of them and the artist/photographer are just not happy with their condition...
and their goal - it seems to me - is a message to frighten, make aware, and perhaps change those who are headed in their direction.
A stunning, graphic image with a strong message.

My "best" cousin suffered with anorexia her whole life. Complicated to deal with to say the least.
@Zoohome and sadly - Americans are quickly becoming victims to a behavioral pandemic....over eating.
