Each year I make a quilt to donate to our local Wounded Warriors benefit. My dad was a veteran so this organization is close to my heart. Have to put the backing on this one and then I will be on time for the September auction!

Thank you...it is actually a collaborative effort...a few of my quilting friends make some of the stars and my job is to put the whole mess together and fill in any gaps...but for a worthy cause, people like to step up to the plate.

Thank you! I have about six blocks of stars left so I am thinking of using them on the back in a simpler way...the backing fabric is blue and white stars...I'll post when I am done...in this heat, I am not looking forward to wrangling a quilt to quilt it, but the deadline looms! The binding will be red and white stripes set on a diagonal.
@thinktwice yes, I understand the quilting issue. I've had the two I've done professionally quilted. Someone else paid for that! An idea for another quilt is rolling around in my head. When I get something together, I'll post.
@I_dont_know Please do! I try to make something daily...usually a quilt block or so...I can't throw out any scraps so I have to use them up or they overwhelm me! I design most of my own quilts so I make a lot of mistakes and have a lot of orphan blocks! lol
