Those are cool. I know about doing the plates with fabric on the back but how did you do the.spider? It doesn't appear to be on fabric. This is one I made with fabric.
@Sheannutt It looks like the center of the spider plate is clear, except for the.spider and web. Was it a sheer fabric? It is really interesting! You used paper on the.edges of the plates? I never thought about using paper. The lady who taught me to make these only used fabric. I guess I assumed paper wouldn't be malleable enough to get smooth. You did nice work.
Thanks, btw! I am a big carousel enthusiast. Carved some miniatures, taught classes in carving them. Aspired to carve a 1/3 sized one but have yet to get that done. Biggest problem was figuring out where I would put it.
