I thought you all might enjoy this mannequin in the gallery. A lady brought him in, didn't know a thing about him, but I HAD to give him a home, didn't I?
Since I got you here... he needs sprucing up. It is another persons work, so I don't really feel right about doing that. What do you think?

I have a lifesized witch that I put on armchairs in communal rooms at times especially halloween when I put sweets in her lap -ts fun to see children creeping up to her to gran a handful before she gets them.

He can't stand by himself and has some damage on a foot, but he gets lots of attention all the same! He has a lot of glue gun stuff that I need to remove too.
@Hathacat you could make a stand for him, fix whatever's wrong...and still use him for costumes. Those won't damage him. And you can expose the original artwork when he's not dressed.

What did they call him?
Give it a place whee everyone can see it and see if someone shows up who knows something about it. I would feel weird working on someone else's work. Perhaps there can be issues, I have no idea.

I think it is ok to re-glue where I can, but pieces are missing and I would have to put something new. Those are the parts I worry about. He is in the only place he can be right now, and not get bumped more.
He is very interesting. Personally, if it were me, as an artist, I wouldn't want to see someone else modify my work but if it was a matter of needing some cleaning and reattaching any bits that had loosened or replace any missing bits with parts that looked like they would be similar to what was there originally. So, I would want to see the basic character of the piece retained as much as possible while making him look fresh and intact.
That said, he is yours and it is certainly your right to do what you choose with him but I commend your integrity in not wanting to alter another artist's work.
