I have a large collection of kimono scraps. My favorite thing to make are bags. It is a challenge to piece the different fabrics together. My floor looks like a tornado hit when I am done searching for the right pieces to put together.
I added a machine embroidered design to fulfill a sewing machine company contract. I painted bamboo handles black and added a black satin lining with two pockets. I have probably made 30 of these now.
That's beautiful!
Do have these scraps because you also have kimonos? Or just the scraps?
Both...I do have many kimonos...but I buy from a place that rescues old kimonos and sells them to artists and handicrafters
