American Science and Surplus had some 19mm (about 4 1/4" ) 255 mm f.l. lenses for sale. I looked at them and immediately thought "home made telescope."
\So I've bought some pvc pipe (you can make ANYTHING with pvc pipe), and some telescope accessories. I also have an old 2" refractor for miscellaneous parts. All together, to make a 4" 50X refractor telescope, it will cost me under $50. I'll have photos and so on as the build progresses.
Sounds awesome! Can't wait to see pics of the finished scope.
If it works out and you want to make more, I might buy one from you, pretty please! I miss my old scope!
Well, I did buy two objective lenses. I'll put some thought into it.
@Robotbuilder *Does the, “possibility of a scope happy dance”.
Rock On... and when you finish. Post it please.
