@Hathacat I found Greenville on a map, looks like farm land, kind of flat. The farthest east I have gone is the northwestern corner of Oklahoma, I mean just over the border, a friend wanted beer that could only be purchased there. Other far eastern places are Rapid City, South Dakota, and east of El Paso somewhere. I have been everywhere west of these places. Your gallery looks like a great place and you must have lots of artists who do great work.

@dalefvictor I haven't counted, but it is more than 20 and less than 30 artists here. The area is rather flat but not seeing miles in every direction flat. Lots of trees, especially this town.

@Hathacat Trees are good, walnut, oak, maple? Wildlife? We have mostly Alder, Fir, a few oak and every once in a while native walnut. More wildlife than I can name, would take a day just to look them all up so I would know what they are called. But basically it is all about friends and family. That is what makes a place a home.

@dalefvictor Hardwood mostly. I thought they looked pretty this fall, but didn't note what they were. I am not good at tree identification. Out farther in the country, there would be animals, but not in town. I see lots of birds though! Family is my son and soon to be moving sister and BIL. That's all the kin I have here, anyway.

@Hathacat I can tell you the names of trees but I cannot identify most without help. If I can see the wood then I can tell but most live trees do not show their interior.

@dalefvictor I know the maples, but only by the leaves, so winter? Who knows?

@Hathacat Same here, I know there is a big lead, because they have big leaves. Left on my own I would probably try to get syrup out of one. That is why I try to surround myself with smarter people.
