This is an ammonite I found in Eastern Oregon. Actually, it’s my very first one.
Wrapped in sterling, with pearls, on antique glass beads.

Wow, are you sure that's an ammonite though? The striations don't look like an ammonite, I'd take it to a museum it might be - well I have a fossil whale earbone that looks very similar, and if it were something like that wouldn't you want to now for sure? I love fossils and interesting things like meteorite and mammoth tusk
Nice wrapping, that looks really good!
I have been collecting driftwood, shells and beach glass and other natural items to make suncatchers and wallhangings- in my mind anyway I've hit a dry spot creatively speaking lol- the most unusual thing I found was part of an eagle ray jaw!

LOL - very nice. I've put more on my profile page just so I wouldn't take over on the handcrafters site. 
NIce work and I really like the freshwater pearls with the ammonite.
