Google 'lost wax casting process' or look at YouTube for videos on the process and the actual pour at Mesalands in past years.
That interests me. Do you know how i right read/learn more about it?

They look intriguing, but I don't know what they are and what the next step in their construction might be.
These tool forms are like hammers and hatchets. Made from foundry wax. The next step is to pack sand around them, melt out the wax and then cast molten iton into the empty space that was occupied by the wax. The vertical risers are air vents and the funnel shape is where the iron goes in.
They have a live video feed. The pour happens Friday afternoon at Mesalands Community College. The video link will be on their home page.
