I didn’t make anything today. I was very tired, as I didn’t sleep much last night, and then was woken up hours early. Ugg. But I did go to my favorite crafts store. It’s called Material Exchange Center for Community Arts (MECCA). I got a bunch of paper to make books. I’m loving making the small ones.

Well, I guess I was a bit creative today, I worked on reformatting my father’s family tree. I think if I turn it sideways, I could fit all twelve generations on one page. This pic does not show these last four generations.

Side note: My cousin submitted his dna to a project of Scottish Clans through National Geographic. It was at my request, and I’m very excited to see the results. I recently found out I’ve got dna from two prehistoric people (bodies), that I actually have heard of! Kennewick Man and a Clovis. So cool. (This pic is of my high matches with all these prehistoric dna profiles.)

Buying supplies can be as much a part of the process as creating. We have a creative reuse place here, so much of what I don't use and much of what I use anymore goes to and comes from there.

So would that DNA workup make you a descendant of Bering Strait pedestrians?

Yes! At less than one percent. 🙂
I’m pretty sure it’s from my Mormon family, which has been in the USA since the 1600s. Isn’t that crazy? This dna stuff really is amazing, we never knew my Granny’s (moms Mom) family until this January. My mom got my dna done for xmas. Ive learned so much in the last month. I already knew my dads geneology, and my Grandpa’s (moms dad).
