I like to work with stained glass mosaics... I use various forms of foundations, my favorite being terra cotta bell saucers...I also cast them into stepping stones & concrete garden benches... This one was freehand, I am not much of an artist, but started working with stained glass several years ago & really enjoy it...

Well, have been told I am a bit touched.....LOL.... Us Pastafarians gotta stick together.....
Maybe some day I will figure out how to shrink some pics so I can share them here... LOL...They did fit on the main site, just not here... Analog man here, got this one to fit but it came thru skewed...The letters are 1 piece, as are the eye sockets ( new ring saw, just showin off..lol.. ) the black background was cut to fit the letters...I used black dye in the grout to give it some good contrast...

Thank you...I hope I live long enough to feel like I could be talented enough to be considered an artist...but I am only 62, hopefully I got a long time to practise yet...lol...

To me, it's almost magical... To take a pile of glass & make it into something beautiful... Almost like alchemy....LOL...

@amateurstargazer I want to pick up some burr's so I can drill small holes... I love glass wind chimes, I would like to make them myself... But kick it up a notch from what I saw as a kid...
@Beansdad I have some ideas along those lines as well....I also make glass beads with a torch.....I was recently asked to incorporate ashes from a beloved dog into a bead.....I think they would be great in a windchime..... make sure to post your work once you get those burrs!!

Tell you what, it is truly addictive but very rewarding... Something special about colored glass...it's a joy to work with...
