Morning, folks,
I am so proud of how fast this group has grown. It is inspiring to see you and your creation . I love the images of your work here.Well, I am also a little intimidated by your art! Now, can we see more? There are 98 memebers here now. How about some photos of your tools and material? Workspace? The honors you have received? The hundreds and thousands of patterns and magazines and books you keep around for inspiration? Oh, no, that's just me. Spinliesel

Oh, citronella, the picture of the fleece blanket rteminds me that there is a drawer full of fleece and butchered Salvation Army wool sweathers that I wanted to reassemble into dog coats and toys. Another projject that deserves to be resurrected. I am glad I am not the only one with bones in the closet!

I tell people that my house is littered with the bones of former hobbies. At various times I have done plastic canvas, fabric painting, soap crafting, and now I am working on a series of no-sew tied fleece blankets. Right now I have just started work on blanket #27. I really enjoy it;. It goes very quickly and is very forgiving in that mistakes can usually be hidden with a little creativity. Not that I ever MAKE mistakes, of course.

If I had a record of all the money I spent on books, magazines, materials, and tools over the span of all of my hobbies, it would probably be in the tens of thousands. A cursory list: dressage, pottery, metal working machines, wood working, sailing, genealogy, leather tooling, astronomy, counted cross stitch, saxophone, quilting, and ballroom dancing.

Ty Spinliesel, indeed, this group grew quickly. The huge variations in media, style, ect are quite pleasing. Yea! Us, lol
