These are "the Boys". Woodcarving of Desert Bighorns, about 16" . The title of the piece is "Living on the Edge" because they are balanced precariously on this "rock" ledge and on the edge of extinction. (populations have increased in recent years, have been de-listed as threatened species)
A large percentage of my carvings are of animals, realistic, caricature and carousel (miniature). Most of the humans I do are caricature.
Thank you, everyone. The pictures weren't the clearest, I tried to get a pic of the expression on the laying down one's face. I was attempting to get him to look a little "miffed" because the younger one is crowding him. Attitude is everything. Of course I had to rely on my interpretation of what a "miffed" bighorn looks like. :/
