I really like how you used the natural dark crystals in the granite quartz.
I think its granite quartz. Not sure.
@Heathenman I’m not exactly sure what it is either. And no one in my rock group really knew either. It was a scrap from a stone counter. I’m assuming it’s some sort of quartzite. The crystals are big, and have left the surface a bit rough. I like it, makes it seem more naturally weathered. At first I didn’t like the black inclusions, but have embraced them. This agate I hounded from Fall Creek, Oregon, has lots of inclusions. I purposely wanted them there, to ‘age’ the piece. The original rock was twice this size. But she came out beautifully. I know my art isn’t for everyone.
