Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I removed the potion at the crack. I carved it down to a sort of stirrer/scraper. I was just loving the grain and colors of it. I’ve never used cedar for a spoon before, just cherry. Already started another cedar and maple. That maple is so hard! Lol.

Wood is organic...it's going to dry and crack. try spreading the crack very gently with wedge of sorts, inserting some "Elmers" white glue (I think they have a specific formula for wood) then remove the spreading wedge, bind the piece, and let it dry in a sunny location (gentle heat).
