I tried applique and quilting a few years ago. Carving had gotten harder due to arthritis so was looking for other things to do. I grew up watching my Grandmother piece quilts so it was a way to go. Like the applique part most, it kind of blends the sewing with drawing/painting so it appealed to me. This little 24"x36" quilt, really a wall hanging, was for a friend who collects china teapots.
I started quilting two years ago and am belong to two quilt "guilds". This is stunning!
Hi DotLewis, very beautiful quilt, I like the design on it. So, if don't mind me asking, how long did it take you to make ? And was it hard to learn how to quilt ? I'm thinking of trying to learn how to myself. Well, take care and I hope you have a lovely day.
Awesome! I've been collecting fabric for a half baked idea of mine to make a landscape quilt for my own bed. How long did this take you?
