with one dearly loved deployed
not behind a desk, up front
my heart sighs under the weight
in the chaos of today’s public policy insanity
where facts are fluid
and integrity sadly lacking
in the chaos
I come to the beach
to find comfort in the dawn.
often find myself in meditation there at sunrise.
