I use this glue called E6000 for a lot of my jewelry and robot work. It's great stuff, even though it can smell up a room.

One thing I have found that makes it really great: on occasion I'll lose the cap for the glue tube. No worries there! What happens is that the E6000 will form a plug at the opening in the tube. The next time you want to use it, you pull the plug out (or stick a hole in it), and your glue is still usable.

An E6000 project: You've seen necklaces and so on that have images on them, and a convex lens that magnifies the image..Those are easy to make. What to get:

25mm cabochon mounts
25mm clear cabochons
E6000 or equivalent
color inkjet computer to print designs you have downloaded

First off, find some unique images from the internet. download them, and them so they are 25mm (1 inch). Or draw your own.

Arrange the images on your computer, and print them out. Cut out the images. leaving a small border.

Put a glob of E6000 on the front of an image. Push the 25mm cabochon on top of it, mooshing it around to spread the glue evenly. When it looks centered, turn it face side down and go on to your next image.

When dry, get a scissors and cut the excess paper away.

Put a glob of glue on the inside of the cabochon back, and press the clear cabochon with attached image firmly onto it, pushing down with enough force that any excess glue comes out (pull off the glue when dry).

Allow to dry, and then use them for earrings or necklaces. These sell fairly well, if you have images that people are interested in.

Dollar Tree sells a very similar glue called Fix All Adhesive. It works exactly like E6000, the only difference being that they use a different solvent. It still smells just as bad, just different.
