I started playing around with oil paint recently, with my son. He got interested in Bob Ross. We started off following the directions somewhat, and then we went our own direction. I think he would have liked that. Today we turned one on, listened to him talk for a couple of minutes, and turned it off. I'm not even sure what he was going to paint, lol! I guess he is our muse.
One really cool thing I realized from his instruction is that oil paints can be used quickly, wet on wet, instead of waiting to let layers dry. And just to play around and see what comes of it.
I'm apparently obsessed with trees, which is fine with me.
I LOVE Bob Ross!!! He also had a obsession for trees, and mountains. You are a really good painter! I've always wanted to try painting, just never found the time. But I'd love to try. You've got a real talent.
