Easter Egg Dyed Wool
This year, the wool is Cormo, very fine, and the dye stuff is cheap, drugstore kind. Mixed with water and vinegar, it dyed eight eggs and a handful of roving. As soon as can find another empty bobbin, I will spin up the roving into fine yarn and knit somehting for baby. Maybe socks or mittens.

Yes, I have, but the blood splatters were too difficult to remove. I have weak eyesight , and sharp needles with hooks are my downfall.
@Spinliesel Ouch. Yeah, that's difficult. I had tried it for a little while then gave up.
Looks good enuff to eat.!! Is this wool anything like cashmere? I love cashmere!!

The diameter of the fiber is very close to cashmere but still a bit thicker and therefore not as rare or expensive.
@Spinliesel That's a plus!! I have probably 8 to 10 (lost count) cashmere sweaters. Most I found at Goodwill for less than 5 dollars a sweater. The 4 were free - in the laundry room at the apartment complex there is a givaway shelf and residents can put items they no longer want or need on the shelf (s). I just happened to go in shortly after they were put on the shelf. I found a very nice leather coat one day. It's fun to check, never know what will be there.
