A long time ago, 1978 i cut up a walnut log on the land of our first house. As years went by i started building a lamp in my mind and physically. collecting pieces and doing some work now and then. Thorough a few moves and some 38 years later i finished the "Lady Lamp". A good idea is worth holding on to. Upright is wood from an old lamp, torso carved walnut with a hammered brass breast plate, two sconces for breasts the head an old sunlamp housing and lamp shade for a skirt, chrome spine was an old medical item. I put a 3 way switch for the lights. still sits in the living room. more detailed photos on flickr [flic.kr]
