Does anyone have experience making shoes or sandals?
Before the made in china logo became a staple in this land, I did sandals in the 70's, hippie type in a leathercraft shop. One of the many hats I wore in this never ending quest.
LONG, LONG ago! Just to reveal the hippy-ness of my existence back then, I made a pair of "barefoot sandals". Tooled leather top plates (roses, as I recall) with straps that circled the 2nd & 3rd toes then wrapped around the ankle twice. Interesting? Yes, but you really needed some tough feet if you wore them anywhere but the beach.
