Hmmm. This isn't the standard idea of a hand crafted item, but I did make this, so I guess it counts. I make robots to serve as actors for my Roku channel, Science Fiction and Beer. This is one that's almost finished. He will be co hosting with me on a live video on Facebook. We will be doing a reaction video to the new Lost in Space TV series.
Robots are the best actors: they never complain, and repeat their lines flawlessly.
His arms move, his upper antennas rotate, the voltmeter swings back and forth, and his lights flash in sync with his speech (which is provided by voice synthesizer and Bluetooth). I'll be installing a tank tread on him, and then he will be mobile as well.

You forgot to talk about the beer. Is it inside the robot? Very cool, by the way. Do you also employ K-9, the dog from Dr.Who. He could probably use the work!
