Nice pictures. I love snow. Do you generally paint from sketches/photographs or do you paint from life at all? I have painted from life in warm weather, but presumably it is impossible in snow?

I haven't ever triyto create in acrylics, I have worked with oils and watercolors, but acrylics scare the crap out of me! I was taught in commercial Art class how to paint with guache and now I do mixed media artwork centered around my guache waterfalls. I lay down a pastel background, followed by a guache waterfall and finish the artwork in interior house paint. Which is sort of like acrylics only that the house paint is thick like oils, dries like acrylics, because it is a kind of acrylic paint, but unlike acrylics out of say a tube of paint, house paint covers over the background colors the first coat every time, because it is opaque like a guache. I can get vidid colors to """"POP”"" out from my artwork.. I also like using spray paint from a can of spray paint for my skies, and then I can airbrush clouds over the finished skies in white guache.
