This is what happens when you teach your 9-year-old son to use the sewing machine. He's already gotten the hang of it, but I just loved this photo, for the frustration and rage I remember experiencing when I first learned how to use a sewing machine....

Clay (polymer) figure of girl with butterfly that I did several years ago. The intent was to use it as a design model for a wood carving but I have not done the carving so far. Baked the clay though so it is pretty stable. She is only about 7" ...
