If you are close to being 70 yrs old would you get a puppy? I buy puppies for a reason, so I can train them to be a dog I want.
I volunteered at shelters and only had 1 dog I would have adopted before they PTS. There aren't many dogs in shelters I would do that for.
I will try a shepherd rescue but if I had to retrain a 100 lb unruly dog I don't think I'd manage that well.
Am still deciding. I have till spring. Any advice is welcome. I don't do small dogs tho.
My sister always wanted to have a pet at home. This year I decided to give her a pet; I know that she would like to have a Yorky, and I decided to know more about them, especially since I wanted to know how long Yorkies live, according to my sister's behavior. She is very sensitive, and if something happens, she will be literally upset. So finally, I decided to bring her a Yorkie dog, and I just can't explain how happy she was. She was just crying because she was enthusiastic and happy about my present. Now she has her best friend.
I don't see a problem if you buy a dog at 70 years as long as you want this. When I lived with my parent, I wanted a dog, and my mother said that when I lived alone, I would do what I wanted. Now I had a dog because it was my choice. I don't have time to train him, but I bought a toy like this [doggietoys.deals] that it's his favorite, and with this one, I told him what he needed to do, and this works for me. It would help if you tried it because every dog is special, like a human.
Posted by K9Kohle789I have wondered how many dogs are camera shy because I had a foster pup that I could only get pix of her running away from the camera and hiding behind a tree.
