I have 2 shepherds, Kohle all black and Leela black and tan, a King shepherd without any of the physical traits: Long hair, pointed ears, tall over 85 lbs, (well she is over 85 lbs from being the official vacuum cleaner), she was also supposed to be easily approached by strangers. Not a one! I sat with her at Publix in FL and asked people to pet her then either they or I treated her. She's way past that now and she's 6. Kohle came from one of the best GSD breeders in the country, I've had him since a puppy.
I moved from FL to TN and met this nice electrician. He has a neighbor that lets her 2 shepherds roam around and they kept showing up at his doorstep. He would feed them and bring them home but she didn't seem to care one way or the other cuz they kept showing up. He once had only the female show up and he took her to the shelter where the owner had to pay $200 to get her back and he figured she couldn't afford it and he'd adopt her legally. She paid the money and later in the week went to see him and said "I hope you're happy she's dead now." She tied the female with a slip knot which tightened and strangled her.
He knows I fostered GSDs and was an ACO so he called me "The male showed up and I'm on my way to your house now." I'm like WHAT??
The dog had nails long as my fingers causing his feet to turn sideways, so muzzle and trim & wormed him just for the heck of it. He still has his balls but I think he needs to be treated for a life long case of heartworms. Not even sure he'd survive but if untreated it will kill him for sure. He's about 8+. First thing he came in and Kohle barked at him, he peed so I made a homemade belly band for 2 days but he hasn't done anything since. So here's dog #3 Lukas.
Posted by K9Kohle789I have wondered how many dogs are camera shy because I had a foster pup that I could only get pix of her running away from the camera and hiding behind a tree.
