(It doesn't seem like we can do paragraphs anymore. Sorry for the wall of text, everyone.) Horror games, Amnesia: The Dark Descent and its sequel, Machine for Pigs are free on Steam. [store.steampowered.com] It took me years to get through the first portion of Amnesia. I couldn't play it for more than 10 minutes at a time. It's simply too scary - if you let yourself be drawn into the atmosphere and the narrative, of course. And I've not yet finished it. I'm stuck in the underground water reservoir very far into the game. By the way, these games are not shooters. The player can only try to run away and hide from the ... ummm ... things - while memory from before the "amnesia" slowly return in the form of "inner dialogue", that is voice-acted well. These are good games. Well recommended.

What did you think of Resident Evil 7?
In horror games I use God mode cheats. When I have to do something to progress the story and make things worse, I choose to not do it and beat the game immediately.
