Yesterday i parked where the AT crosses the parkway, left the car and rode my bike 14 miles downhill to where the AT crosses the James River, and hiked 10.5 miles on the AT back to the car just before dark. Pic is from Bluff Mt.

It was nice to get out for a walk today, everything looks different in the snow. I think we heard a woodpecker, but not much wildlife about.

What's your personal favorite tip or trick? I air dry baby wipes, just leave them out on a shelf. They reconstitute well, pack lighter and clean better than toilet paper. Work on dishes too.

Going Rogue; my favorite type of camping trip. I inflated the raft in the parking lot, using an electric pump, then carried it down to the river for rigging.
