As eugenics was a "new" science at the time, it only proved itself to be so flawed. There are merits in its assumptions, tho they may be unethical. In light of Norway's ban on breeding bull dogs due to horrible genetics medical issues, one could argue the same on a human level except for the fact that government has no business telling people what to do or not in the realm of adult consensual relationships. It s not illegal for those who have genetic defects to reproduce for good or naught. The human element insists that we permit reproduction of the genetically impaired as "humanitarian". &the government has no business deciding this for it citizenry. Fortunately science now permits testing for various genetic anomalies & we can avoid some problems via genetic testing. It is a tough subject with no right answers. But it fascinates me.
Yes. I display it when injustice in my opinion has occurred. Mine is black background with an orange rattle snake. Texas abortion restrictions, police misconduct, hate crimes, 55 corporations which paid NO taxes. The usual hurray- for- me & fuck you incidents. It can be applied to either "side". Government over reach from the left or right. Can we agree to meet in the middle & kind of advance our democracy? "Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice". Aristotle or Barry AUH2O. No. Extremism always errors on the side of excess.
What I like about Mr. Mencken is that he evolved & changed his mind on many issues. His thought process never remained stagnant. He advanced his knowledge & changed his position on many issues.
True H L Menchen PUBLISHED writings did evolve progressed liberated but his diaries remained constant a NAZi sympathizer of sorts with eugenics
I don't own any flags in actual flag form. All I have are T shirts, and I don't specifically have a Gadsden Flag shirt.
Ok. I also have a Gadsden Flag T-shirt.
