Hello my friends, is an Anarcho-Primitivist close enough??
I'm not familiar with primitivism apart from mennonites/the amish, but if you want there to be little to no government as the anarcho- prefix implies, yes, you're a subset of libertarians. However, I would appreciate an explanation of your idea of primitivism. Do you think technology is bad in some way? Or perhaps, cooperation? If you watch Danny Duchamp's Story Time for Communists, is there any point in the story at which something occurs that is against anarcho prmitivism? What does the ideal anarcho-primitivist society look like?
@NotConvinced Okay, so it's kinda an environmentalist thing. I could get behind that as long as it remained voluntary and anarchist.
@NotConvinced Corporate control at out current level is only possible when the government grants monopolies (through patents, copyrights, etc.) and otherwise restricts trade anyway, so it sounds like both of us basically just want anarchy of an orderly populace.
Close enough for what?
@NotConvinced Never heard of your label, so not sure.
Posted by SpikeTalonI kneel before no one. No gods, no masters, no control freaks. Screw the tyrants from both political extremes, and their agendas.
Posted by SpikeTalonNeither one of the extremes, and yet the best of both worlds...
Posted by SpikeTalonSubstitute the word liberals for progressives, and that would describe me as well. As for the conservative part, the socially/theocratic (aka, bible thumpers, mostly) ones in particular.
Posted by SpikeTalonIndividuality is a dirty word to the authoritarians (both left and right) in the world.
