Hello, everyone! I'm new and I just wanted to say hello and share a little bit about myself. Currently, I am running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on an Acer M5 with a paltry 16Gb of RAM and a 500Gb SSD. I also have another ultra book that runs Backtrack 5 with an air card that has monitor mode and packet injection for network security testing. I am also a total Android fanatic who likes to geek, freak, and tweak my mobile device to the max. Have a great day!
Sounds fun. Have you checked out app inventor? [appinventor.mit.edu]
Thanks for the link, will investigate.
I'll check that out! Thanks!
I am no geek by any means and do not even know what you are talking about with "Backtrack and Packet Injection". My preferred distro is Ubuntu Mate 18.04 for my main computers and Peppermint 9 for my netbooks and older PCs.
Backtrack 5, simply, is a purpose built distribution of Linux which is used specifically for network penetration testing for IT professionals. However, in order for this OS to function properly in the testing of wireless connections, the machine must have a wireless fidelity card which can monitor the data going to and from a connection as well as the ability to inject it's own information packets (i.e. passwords) into the data stream. Good choice of distros for you machines, by the way. Peppermint is a nice little version. Thank you for looking at my post as well as sharing your setup.
Posted by FrayedBearAnyone using Android 12? Are you having problems with the Gmail app no longer working along with the PlayStore?
Posted by ScubaWagsWow, Windows 11 will have tiling windows. No one has ever done that before...
Posted by ScubaWagsThis made me giggle
Posted by OldMetalHeadThis is quite interesting. I knew Ubuntu would be high, but I honestly didn't expect it to be that high.
Posted by ScubaWagsApparently it's penguin awareness day today... I assume that must include Tux
