House Democrats’ HR 1 – Faking the Funk on Voting Rights, Spreading Fear and Gunning For the Greens in 2020

[blackagendareport.com]

(House Democrats, along with Democrats in the Senate and, Democrats in the Clinton and Obama Justice Departments, and Democrats in the White House have pretty much stood by idly the past quarter century while Republicans on the state level and in the judiciary have painstakingly assembled and implemented bit by bit what is now a vast panoply of administrative tactics, state laws and court rulings aimed at minimizing, intimidating and blocking and suppressing the anti-Republican vote. )

I have brought this up a number of times. Flags don't come flying any more red or as big as this one. Why would a party sit completely idle as their opposition engages in tactics that vastly target their own democratic supporters? As we had in last years mid terms leaving 2? candidates from their party out to dry as republicans baited their own hooks in efforts to win. Leaving them out to dry without a voice from the state and national as 100's of thousands of voters were purged from the system by shady means. This is an issue Greg Palast has been covering for several election cycles that RARELY gets mentioned by the MSM and the top democrats don't seem to want to touch. Well, I give you the democratic primary of 2016. A primary riddled with problems from Iowa to the very end. In which it had its own voter purging in some states, and in the end, thanks to Wikileaks, found to be totally rigged. The country is moving just the way both parties want it to move. Right. If they just came out and told us what the agenda was there would be hell to pay. So we get it gradually as at least, roughly, 52% of voters keep participating in their system.

(The second piece of HR 1 which has a chance of gaining the bipartisan needed to become law, if Democrats want it badly enough to seek Republican votes on it, is aimed squarely at keeping the Green Party off the ballot in as many states as possible, and crippling the Green Party’s presidential campaign.)

2016 opened a lot of eyes. They're scared. But we need to put a fire under the Green Party and get them over that hump. Or it's just going to keep going down hill to the right. We're locked in one direction and it's up to us to take the wheel together and break that chain.

Some Democrat stooge was trying to lecture me about the Dems proposing HR 1 as a "gotcha" in terms of saying oh look you don't like the Dems because they're corporate, but look what they just proposed. Like I told him, the Senate won't pass it and the Dems know it, and we didn't know details of everything anyway. So now they are trying to squash any type of support for 3rd party candidates. How democratic of them! I bet most status quo Dems will love it because it supports the narrative of 3rd party candidates "stealing" elections from Dems as if they were owed anything. The irony is that they are supporting a non-democratic action and they won't see anything wrong with it. They also won't realize that the new rule only hurts one of the only parties that doesn't accept corporate money for their funding, and then they will turn around and complain about corporate money being in politics and wonder why things don't change.

I see the point here. However, the Green Party, in my opinion, does not help itself to grow and become a participant in our politics. I don't see Jill Stein except every 4 years when she comes out from wherever she spends her time to run for President. The Green party doesn't put in the time or money to advance themselves. They can't keep blaming the Democrats and repubs for their inability to advance their agenda. If the Green Party wants to govern then they need to have a message and raise money so that citizens know what they stand for and are all about.

With all due respect, that very statement is what's holding them back. Are you donating towards their cause? Is anyone that repeats that same rhetoric line we hear from so many donating to their cause. I'll go out on the limb here and say no. I'll also go out again and bet Jill Stein does or did more for her party than any establishment politicians do. While our EP only go out once something becomes critical or for photo ops, Stein actually goes out before it gets to those depths. How many EP did you see go to the Dakota pipeline protest? One of the first in hurricane areas. Do you follow the Green News sources to know they do nothing, or is it because you don't hear anything about what they do? Here's their calendar schedule. It's quite full. [gp.org]

Most, if not all Green party members are working primarily within a small budget and their own money for a cause they believe in. What has the millionaire Hillary Clinton been doing since 2016. Jill Stein holds weekly conferences online for her followers. While Clinton has been ignoring hers ever since. They will not produce several hundreds of thousand of dollars for her time like wall street. Stein has a fraction of a fraction to work on compared to the corporate supported establishment politicians. The media knows this and that's why they get so little coverage which then feeds the very statement you make. It's a win win for the establishment.

Their people work very hard to get out each election cycle to get the signatures to get on ballots nationwide. How do you propose for them to raise money? Sell out to the corporations also? If you want change you have to support it! Freedom isn't quiet and it isn't free! It's a tough place to get to and we have to work and support it.

@William_Mary With all due respect, you know nothing about who or why I donate money to, so I wouldn't assume anything if I were you. I do follow the Green Party, have for years, I have also contributed to Green party candidates when I felt they warranted the support. I was hoping they would become a party to challenge the other two, but they have not. I've been supporting the party since the early 90's when warranted. What I came to realize is that they have not given enough people enough reason to follow and support them, and that is why they have no money to further their agenda. They talk a good game but show no advancement in their party. What their problem is with their seeming inability to spread a message that people would embrace is a mystery to me.

@Redheadedgammy The main problem the green party has is unity. To many singular sects without direction in which people are attempting to develop structure in different ways in different areas. I'll argue that all ties into lack of support and funding. A problem for the party only here in the US. That is a problem that can be ironed out as a party once it manages to become a benefactor. Pulling more leadership into areas from the main street business arena and above. But these type of people aren't just going to put their heads and money out there on a chopping block until they see the commons getting behind a real sense of change. Personally, I'm not going to give up on the only chance for my family behind me and the planet because others aren't willing, yet, to see a light forward. There's absolutely no other choice out there at the moment?
