“The time is now to fight for genuine socialism and an end to capitalist exploitation”

SEP presidential candidate Joseph Kishore opens 2020 campaign with address to students and supporters in Michigan

[wsws.org]

{In reply, Kishore explained that the role of Sanders is to channel social opposition behind the Democratic Party and block an independent political movement of the working class. If he were to become president, he added, Sanders would play a role similar to that of Syriza (the “Coalition of the Radical Left&rdquo😉 in Greece, which has implemented the dictates of the banks and served as a frontline of the European Union’s anti-refugee policy.}

In other words. Sanders will again betray his supporters in 2020, win or lose, as he did in 2016. You think I'm wrong? Then why doesn't he question and expose the 2016 rigging against him while campaigning for 2020? Why did he fall lock step into the false narratives of Russiagate. And now Ukrainegate and Venezuela? He chose to support the very person and entire DNC apparatus that rigged every primary and caucus in 2016 against him, then was silent to their crimes and unethical practices. He should have been confronting Biden in the debates on his part in the Ukraine crimes and unethical practices both parties were involved in since 2014!

{Vanessa and Michaela, both students and workers, expressed their support for the SEP campaign after the meeting as they talked with SEP supporters. Vanessa mentioned her interest in the Sanders campaign but added that the meeting had given her pause, saying, “I’m realizing that there are people to the left of me, and I think I need to think more critically” about Sanders. In 2020, she did not want to adapt to the pressure to choose “the lesser of the two evils.”}

I staunchly spent every spare moment I had in 2016 advocating for Sanders. Even though as the 3rd and 4th debates were giving me red flags to Sanders true intent I continued. Even though a Chris Hedges and Ralph Nader discussion warned I continued. Sanders practically ended that campaign almost exactly to the points Hedges and Nader mentioned. Folding up like a lap dog to the establishment and falling right in line with their agenda. I don't know who the better con artist of 2016 was, Sanders or Trump.

Voting within either of these establishment parties will never result in the good of our society or advancement of.

I personally believe the DNC and Clinton felt Sanders would be the perfect opponent to easily beat in that election. Able to use him as a single challenger while using his claim of being a socialist against him. Martin O'Malley basically unheard of was window dressing and quickly disposed of. So they were attempting to avoid what happened in 2008 with Obama using the socialist managed perception in regards to Sanders.

I've been following Sanders for over a decade. Having first learn of him during my time as an over the road truck driver about 2006. Listening to Sirius Radio there's a program on the Left Channel called the Thom Hartmann show. He has a 3 hour show in which on Fridays he had an hour dedicated to what he called Brunch with Bernie each week. The first politician I found with ideology that resembles mine.

Anyways. I believe the DNC and Clinton made a grave error in underestimating how many people there are who understand the Marx ideology of a true socialist means of production theory who see the effects of capitalism. As I spent that time on facehack advocating for Sanders, I also witnessed many people in comments I communicated with who were changing party affiliation, or looking into such, to vote for Sanders. Independents who needed to and republicans. You might be surprised at the number or republicans who no longer recognize the party as one they've been a part of for decades, of all ages and generations, who were changing to vote for him. He blew that! Many went back to vote for Trumps con job.

Sanders put up a pussy fight in the debates. I was using Clinton's neoliberal history and litany of lies while he merely used a few talking points on repetitive mode, never exposing the real person and politician she is. And I'll argue he is doing the very same thing today especially concerning Biden. He remained silent even though the writing of rigged was all over the election from day one starting in Iowa. He still remains silent to it today not using it as a cause for himself. Or how about this, out today, will he remain silent?

This would again reward him the justice to finally speak out the truth of that party it gave him in 2016. They gave him in 2016 a valid reason to run as an Independent when they screwed him and his supporters. He had a duty to his supporters to carry on that revolution! We shall see though. Win or lose his true colors are about to be exposed. I'll say again in my opinion.

@William_Mary People do not understand that there is a difference between socialism and communism.

I think the answer to you question of why did Sanders support the democrats after the rigging of the 2016 election is that he knew a democratic win would be better than a Trump victory and he realizes that he needs the democratic party if he is to have any chance at success in his run for president.

I argue a democratic win would not have been better. I also often theorize that Trump might have been preordained to be the winner.

Clinton's foreign policy, especially towards Syria, was more war hawkish than Trumps con speak. Her past history as both from within the white house of her husbands administration and time as SOS speaks volumes towards this.

You want me to believe that the amount of support Sanders had in 2016 alone, but now combined with 2020, which is a 1000 times greater than Perot, Nader, and Stein, combined at all times of their runs, is not enough support to run as an independent!?! As using the full exposed truths of our governance and media tactics to serve the deep state. If a genuine Sanders took his support to the Green Party as invited in 2016, he could have probably put that up to a win. A genuine socialist would have taken that popularity to SEP over the past 3 years and built a winning presidential run.

You have to also consider that the polls, primaries, and caucuses were all rigged with the help of media collaboration. So what you might believe as being a loss was most likely a significant win. All indications told a completely different story than was being reported. Crowd sizes at rallies. Crowd sizes at caucuses. In which at caucuses people were sent away falsely with provisional ballots. There are no provisional ballots for a caucus! You have to be present for your vote to count in what is basically an all day/night event. If the count is to close to declare a winner or tie, the 2 camps of supporters then mingle and attempt to sway others to their side. In which in all cases in Iowa Sanders supporters outnumber Clinton supporters greatly. What happened in Iowa set the tone for all the rest of the chaos in concerns to caucus states. Shutting Sanders surrogates and supporters out of meetings and counts, then refusing to allow observance and recounts. Note, even all national polls had Sanders beating Trump with high single to double digits compared to Clinton losing or barely ahead. Same as today with Biden or any other.

No, Sanders had what it takes, but he blew it. If those of us who now no longer believe in him seeing the con he pulled were in the numbers he'd be showing landslide right now. I simply don't even believe the numbers being posted about him today. Yea he's pulling in big crowds again today, but where do these people come from? You think maybe all those 2016 Clinton supporters just miraculously support Sanders now. I don't think so. But hey, take note. With any luck I'll be here when it's over. And when it is, win or lose, I'll be pointing out how he conned his supporters again.

@William_Mary If he had run as an independent or in the Green party, he would have split the left and Trump would have been guaranteed to win. He is playing the long game and now is the time for it to pay off. I have no reason to doubt his sincerity because he has been insanely consistent throughout his life. I am completely confident that he will fight as hard as he can to implement the policies that he is running on.

@RoboGraham I give you a hug preordained for when you'll need it. I'll turn you yet 🙂 Sanders will help me or you'll have to be one of those in cognitive dissonance realm.

@William_Mary I don't doubt that there will be disappointment in the future and thanks, I guess, for your kind gesture.

What's your strategy? Who are you supporting?

@RoboGraham right now I'm fairly certain I'll vote for the SEP candidate.

I'm fairly certain Howie Hawkins will be the Green Party winner and has become questionable with his recent ridicule. I have 2 articles about that I intend to post on tomorrow morning once I study them more closely as I attempt to combine them in a single post.
