I think my favorite is mango, but when I was pregnant with my first child, I was really craving nectarines, which I still love. Right now, I'm growing strawberries for the first time, and they are amazing! Red all the way through and soft compared to the store bought ones.

Watermelon has a healing pH ....I can feast for 2 days on a melon all by myself but prefer to start a melon ball party into a giant punch bowl ....then I finish the rinds or slice it in half and transfer back in all the balls after hollowing out 2 halves

That sounds like a great idea! delicious!

@Wildgreens sweet for all nite kissing

I can't choose just one, I don't feel so strongly about anything to declare it a favorite. Except chocolate, and I suppose you could call chocolate a fruit, so that is my favorite.

Oranges, love the smell while peeling them and then the juicy goodness when I eat them. YUM!!!!

Right now it is plums. I have grown and eaten so many apples I have gotten a bit tired of them. Hopefuly that won't happen with plums. I'll just have to ration them.

I did not realize there are so many kinds to choose from.

@Wildgreens Plums or apples. For Apples there are 10,000 + varieties (not all are good for eating, though). I don't know how many plum varieties there are but thanks for planting a seed (or rather pit) so I found this link [pots2plots.com] I prefer freestone plums and had both a Stanley, Seneca and Early Laxton in on my tree in Seattle. Here on the island I have a Seneca and Valor. Valor and Early Laxton are on the list but Seneca is not [davewilson.com] nor is the Stanley [gurneys.com]
One thing most people don't know is that the pit contains an almond inside. Crack the pit and find the almond and it is edible (but very strong flavor). When you add a couple of plumb almonds to a canning jar while canning the plums it adds flavor back into the jar that you usually lose in the processing. Also, Asians pick the plums very early and salt them. It is definitely an acquired taste [en.wikipedia.org]

I'd have to go with mangos. I'm not altogether certain why. Just the flavor is really appealing.

There's something about pineapple.

Alfonso Mango, which is called the King of Fruits around the World. Alfonso mango is not available in the U.S. I think it is many times better than Mexican mangoes.

The thick pulp (some times with a dash of cardamom, saffron, or almond or cashew flakes) makes a very delicious meal with good crisp Tortillas. I have enjoyed tons of it. It also makes a great ice cream.

Tomatoes... I will buy a few from a local produce stand and eat it while outside...
