Ask a kid where their food comes from and they will stay the store. If you tell them it is a living animal they get upset.
Years ago my brother and his family were visiting me in Germany. We went to a restaurant that specialized in 'wild' (not farmed) food. My brother pointed out to his young daughter that Bambi and Thumper were on the menu. He thought it was funny but she got so upset she knocked over his beer in his lap!

I saw a picture today of a rancher embracing a young calf in his arms. These people say they love their animals but then they kill them and eat them (or sell them for others to eat).
