@Freedompath did you notice that Orange-gutan didn't say a peep about Palm Beach County? Only Broward, even though PBC has a similar number of voters and registered democrats and independents that overwhelm republican'ts. Honestly speaking, the supervisor of elections in Broward Brenda Snipes is incompetent, she has been there since 2003, a democrat appointed by Jeb Bush,15 years of incompetence to both sides, democrats and republicans, why didn't Tallahassee remove her? Republican'ts appointed her, Republican'ts kept her and now they cry foul?? While the PBC supervisor of elections has an impeccable reputation, and she was elected, is a democrat. But now it's time to throw this inompetent Broward woman under the bus because she's trying to do her job as best as she can, albeit shoddily, not because she is a secretly "Soros conspirator", but because she's behaving as incompetently as always. Scott has sued both counties but only mentions Broward, is Trump's only mention of Broward a coincidence? They don't want to publicly smear the PBC supervisor because she lives in Palm Beach and is not incompetent. Coincidence, right????

@mikecagain I don't think that would be the case if the states with lager populations than the median keep their 2 senators and the ones with less than the median keep just 1. I would look at all the pros and cons. Example of a con: to confirm Kavanaugh or to approve a law protecting our planet, is it fair or just that CA with 40 million people has the same votes than a crazy bible belt state with right wing science denying yokels as senators that don't even have 1 million people living there? Laws in the Senate are mostly Federal in scope where common good is at stake. All States have State legislations where they can do what they choose.

Research shows there are still about 9% of undecided, Beto can't win without them, he's a nice decent human being and has run a very clean campaign, I would say too nice a campaign for TX. I saw the debate, the full debate, he made some strong points, but the closing as you can see was, well, not strong. Republicans play to win, they cheat, do whatever they can to supress votes, lie, etc because that's what they do and unfortunately they usually win, that's why they get results, despite losing popular votes they own most states legislations, most governorships, all the federal powers. They never play nice. Democrats who won't adapt, will lose.
The spineless coward Cruz continues to lead polls in TX now by 7 points.

The first thing we need to do post-Trump is to eliminate the electoral college and bring back 60 votes in the senate vs. a simple majority.
Mofo1953 replies on Oct 9, 2018:
It would be a more equitable solution to have representation per population, the 100 senators was an arbitrary number and it gives states with little population like each of the Dakotas for example to have equal say than California or New York and does not allow our other territories and posessions or even the residents of the District of Columbia to be represented. Senate seats shoul reflect population, a very simple rule would be to keep the w senators per state for those states that have over 6.6 million people (the average population per state and posessions) and give one senatorbto the ones under. This would result in only 17 states keeping 2 senators and the balance of states, DC and possessions, a total of 60, with one senator or a total 34 + 43 = 77 senators and with simple majority rule for legislation or 39 votes in favor. This may be a simple rule but it gives all Americans representation in the Senate, makes it more fair for states with huge population vs states and possessions that barely have people there plus we don't have to pay 100 Senator salaries when 77 suffice. With population growth on the future changes would easily be adopted. These would be the states/possessions with only 1 senator: 18 Missouri 6,135,888 19 Maryland 6,079,602 20 Wisconsin 5,818,049 21 Colorado 5,684,203 22 Minnesota 5,628,162 23 South Carolina 5,088,916 24 Alabama 4,888,949 25 Louisiana 4,682,509 26 Kentucky 4,472,265 27 Oregon 4,199,563 28 Oklahoma 3,940,521 29 Connecticut 3,588,683 30 Iowa 3,160,553 31 Utah 3,159,345 32 Nevada 3,056,824 33 Arkansas 3,020,327 34 Mississippi 2,982,785 35 Kansas 2,918,515 36 New Mexico 2,090,708 37 Nebraska 1,932,549 38 West Virginia 1,803,077 39 Idaho 1,753,860 40 Hawaii 1,426,393 41 New Hampshire 1,350,575 42 Maine 1,341,582 43 Montana 1,062,330 44 Rhode Island 1,061,712 45 Delaware 971,180 46 South Dakota 877,790 47 North Dakota 755,238 48 Alaska 738,068 49 District of Columbia 703,608 50 Vermont 623,960 51 Wyoming 573,720 Add Puerto Rico (3.5 million), Guam, USVI and the rest of a total of 9 possessions. @LetzGetReal you wasted your votes voting for green and made possible Trump's election, I know many friends like you, and I told them as I am telling you, thanks a lot for allowing this pig be President, regardless of what you think about Hillary, if she's a bitch or if she is evil, if she had been elected we would: not have a Gorsuch or a Kavanaugh for decades in the SCOTUS, we would not have left the Paris agreement, we would not have all the idiots in the cabinet who are dismantling education, the ecology, HUD, etc., we would not have offended our closest allies and kiss the ass of our enemies, we would not have given billions in tax breaks to the top 1%, you name all the crap 45 has done and will continue doing until he is out, if he ever is thrown out, and you tell me if Hillary isn't the perfect example why the lesser of two evils is infinitely better than throwing away your vote so that a POS ends up winning and ruin our country, nothing you say will convince me that your ephimeral autosatisfaction with your personal decision to throw away your vote was good for America.
I'm angry as fk.

You live in AZ, now more than ever your vote is needed. You want to know who are the better candidates? Easy, the ones that won their primaries in AZ and that have not voted for Kavanaugh or the ones that would never vote for an attempted rapist like Kavanaugh, is that to difficult to discern?

Mofo1953 replies on Oct 7, 2018:
Sometimes one vote per precinct is all that is needed to lose an election, if you want to risk it then don't vote, but then do not bitch when your rights are trampled. You want your vote to count, move to a red district in NY and vote blue all the way, or, if you really want to make your vote count, move to a toss up state and vote blue all the way, there are always ways to work the system, not voting is what the POS republicans want you to do, so you will basically be doing their bidding, do not let pessimism discourage you, do not become cynical, if you do, then they already won.

@Charlene so was I but unfortunately there is only a binary choice when Nov 6 comes, that's how our country works, many people I know didn't show up to vote, many voted for the other two candidates that never have a chance except to spoil things, because "they could not in good conscience vote for Hillary". I blame them, not the deplorables who are idiots and easily duped by shiny objects like Trump was. These people, supposedly smart, failed to see the big picture. Granted, Hillary was not a good candidate, but Trump was the worst thing that could have happened to America. If she were POTUS, we would never have left the Paris accord, never try to dismantle NATO, we wouldn't have the usual gang of idiots in the cabinet that is ruining the environment, education, HUD, etc. We wouldn't have fought wirh our closest allies, never have to see Nazis and other supremacists emboldened, never talk about walls or racist laws, we would have never separated babies from their parents, never have put mysoginist right wingers in the supreme court that will be there for decades, etcetera ad infinitum. Now it is just too late to be sorry, the only thing left is these midterms.

I agree with you 150% but it is also important to have WINNING as main target and vote blue regardless if he or she is social democrat or not, being more papists than the Pope got us this POS POTUS because many would not vote for Hillary, who, regardless if you hate her or not, would have been 1 billion percent better POTUS than what we have now.

@BettyColeman I didn't say they always win, but they always play dirty and when you have Republicans dominating ALL powers, executive, legislative and judicial, chances are they will also win with dirty tricks this time. That is why November is critical for a blue wave, and I say this as an independent.
Should the future female mullahs have the right to have multiple husbands simultaneously?
Mofo1953 comments on Sep 29, 2018:
You assume there are no mullahs currently, this is not the case, there are femalemullahs, female muftis anf female imams. Even female ayatollahs, not many but in fact there are female only mosques too.,
Mofo1953 replies on Sep 30, 2018:
@zesty although implied when you say "future" the answer is no both for current mullahs or future mullahs. It is expressly forbidden in the Quran for women to be "vessels" of other men's seed except the seed of the husband, and muslims cannot change the Quran. Stupid? Of course, but that's reality.

Mofo1953 comments on Sep 15, 2018:
I like musicals, some of them, not really cared for some. Did not like Les Miserables for example, which has no memorable tune in it, my personal opinion. Hamilton was cool, La La Land was nice. Some great ones for my taste My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Cabaret, Little Shop of ...
Mofo1953 replies on Sep 23, 2018:
I did not like Les Miserables because, as I said, there is not one single memorable tune in it, you can getinto the songs while they are singing it, be involved with the story which is a classic, but when I try to remember one tune to sing with joy, like I do tons of songs from musicals from even the oldest ones like the Jazz Singer with Al Jolson to the most recent ones like La La Land, you at least remember one catchy tune or song, wasn't the case for me from Les Miserables, and I have seen the show in Broadway and also off Broadway and, of course, the movies, but still none comes to mind like let's say many other songs like Oklahoma, My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins, Showboat, Chicago, Grease, etc. etc. etc.

Mofo1953 replies on Sep 19, 2018:
I'm sure the poster was just joking, I really don't see any indecency in talking about the first lady, especially when it's the husband who was the adulterer, the most indecent to Melania by not only cheating on her but doing so without protection and then paying hush money bribes to silence her and other adult stars and models and then lying to the public. Melania became fair game for humor because she has also kept silent and complicit.
