!'m a professed 'Jewish In Name Only'...not even 'cultually' anymore. I have entered into the world of not knowing, not guessing, but living my life with truth and love, the best ways I know how. Nothing else makes sense.
Please visit "Theatre Folk and Friends" a group I started this week because I could not find any other group in which I fit very well.
Finding humor in life can be a means to survival in a bizarre, often dysfunctional, depressing world. I find many of the little nuisances in life laughable, probably because they are so insignificant. Laughing at myself when I screw up or do something silly, keeps me centered and can liven up my work day...
Kindness matters to me a lot. And it dictates my behavior toward everyone I meet, whether I know them or not.
Basically I'm a nice Jewish girl and on my SSI, definitely not a JAP.
I was raised in A Jewish In Name Only Home. We fought morning noon night, unless everyone became silent and walked past and through each other as if we were not there. I recovered. I'm a playwright, teacher, actor and director...and content.

Attended a reformed temple on the Holy Ones, and I attended some kind of Saturday school where I remember looking at picture books of a Mighty Moses on the Mountain top and other colorful illustrations. Absolutely no theology taught.

    **ADDENDUM**  I feel some regret.  There are reasons why I enjoy this site, but for now I'm off.  Maybe for good.  some of the venom, hostility, maliciousness, contempt, and hate* coming off the keyboards and out of the minds of some folks is just too much to take.  I feel it's ugly and unnecessary.  I may be back.
