Death is only real because we believe in it's inevitability.
Individual bodies come and go. Our common spirit lives forever. “You were not born and you will not die.” Bhagavad Gita
What's it's power source ?
@Simon1 I don’t know. I don’t know if it has a power source. Even if it did, what would be the power source of the power source. I don’t know if the question is applicable.
Besides Hindu scriptures, you have Max Planck talking about Universal Awareness. More recently we have Donald Hoffman with Conscious Awareness. They make it sound reasonable, at least to me.
If nothing else, you could take “common spirit” to be life in general.
I have seen many people start that process, take their last breathe, prepare for their remains the coroner, and assist with their embalming and grooming....I watch their eyes as they prepare to transition....many look to the light. Could it be compared to the same blurry tunnelling light upon a vaginal delivery? Or the electromagnetic portal that allows us to see a minuscule portion of the sun/moon...that light the focus on most times represents something. Our breath is a loan, our body is a loan...everything is loaned elements we are given on this journey. It's never how long you have lived...but how well.
Energy is not destroyed or created...only transforms.....we are energy.
I don't think so. I've seen many men who thought they'd not die, die
Yes. But I think at the same time our brains have a hard time understanding death because it's not tangible. There is just a cessation of life, but the body remains.
The cosmos is cruel and callous.
