I am a humble guy but I will use my scholarship money while in college to buy expensive drapes... like Givenchy, Pierre Cardin, Yves St Laurent... We were all a crew all the same height and we all buy those suits and swap them around among us. We were the best dressed guys in the club... either broke or with our pockets full.... Doesn't matter if last century or this century. We dressed up for the ladies.
