@SukiSue As a teacher I can't see as positive the public humiliation of a person...but, indeed, I want an education system that turn out knowledgeable kids...a system that doesn't "create manipulable beings."

@DUCHESSA Shaming is so very wrong. We see it today in the wrongful shaming of vulnerable people like minorties, single parents, the impoverished. So very wrong. So no Dunce caps. But I do get frustrated with some folks! grrrr……

@DUCHESSA And this is kind of sarcasm aimed at alleviating a general frustration with so many people who are not thinking too well right now. They are either shallow, or thinking only of themselves.

@SukiSue I am neither shallow or selfish.I post provoking memes to get people talking.
And I post humor memes to get people laughing.To be honest I was this kid in school.Forst it was putting my desk next to the teachers then turn it towards the front.Then i was in the hall way.THEN after my mother told them if they didnt include me in the class she would sue them.THEN I was at the back of the class facing the back wall.SO no not shallow.

@Ironwrangler I understand completely and do not think you are so shallow or selfish. I post memes for the same reason. Getting Folks to talk about issues is no easy task today. Here on the offender's group, we actually invite talk that is unfiltered. We want to hear what's on people's minds so we can respond fairly. I have enjoyed many of your posts! We offer a platform where you can say your piece no matter what and we will respond rather than simply react.

@Ironwrangler I be apt to bet it was your wonderful sense of humor that got you in trouble in school as a child, right? I am glad they didn't shame it out of you!

@SukiSue I love to debaate.This site is new to me and nice compared to ....I won't say it .3 times lol but this is cool.i have a few pages on there that i have adm. in and i used to own 7 different genre fan pages there to over 6 years and people get so damned butt hurt and spewing on one of the pages I post to .They don't want or no longer have the ability to discuss without being offended .Or some idiot jumping in to stir the pot.
I like to stir the pot ...but to get people talking.Suicide was one And oh boy did it go through the roof.
I am a sarcastic Bostonian.And sometimes that don't go over well .When dealing with knee jerk reactionary people.

@SukiSue Between that and My mother always teaching us to stand up for our selves because nobody else is going to. I had the two mixed together so yah . I got into a lot of trouble with teachers.Beacuse They would say"Oh you think everything is funny don't you"?
And I would turn it into a debate .making the rest of the class laugh and me getting detention lol.But I was a fighter and through a life circumstance .I got a rep for fighting and everytime I turned around I was sitting on the group W bench...
So by the time i was in 8th grade I was in the only jr. high vocational school in the state of massachusetts..Where I learned more than a trade

Shaming is horrible all around.
