Two volunteer lifeboat men, who risk their lives at no cost to the public or benefit to themselves to save lives of those in danger at sea, can be dismissed because some prissy snowflake finds their choice of mug "unacceptable" and "Sexist"
This is utter madness, and the RNLI need to reconsider before people die because of their stupid wannabe SJW attitude to crockery F'ing CROCKERY!

This is over more than "crockery". It's reflective of an attitude.
These guys blame "snakes on the crew"... in other words, you're supposed to keep your mouth shut and not report violations of the Code of Conduct. I know this all too well. I've been called a "snitch" and a "rat" myself, for answering investigators honestly and refusing to cover up for fellow officers who hung themselves out to dry with their actions. Actions which jeopardize me and other good cops, by sacrificing professionalism in the name of "just having fun".
You want to have fun on the job? Read a Dilbert comic. Their story is bullshit. These guys were involved in sexual harassment, they got caught, and they got fired. Those who supposedly resigned "in protest" were probably next on the chopping block. Although, to be fair, we don't know that... they could have been taking a principled stand in favor of workplace sexual harassment and a hostile work environment.
I'm still throwing the "bullshit" flag, though.

@LenHazell53 so...they MADE a nasty harassing object to belittle & embarrass a co-worker. Fire their stupid asses, this is creating a hostile workplace and a terrible disrespectful environment was created! WTH do they think they are?! If the image on the mug was of a female, would you condone it?

The man is a fifteen year volunteer lifeboat man who has saved hundreds of lives and trained others to save hundreds of lives, the other guy who was fired was the man they mocked up the image of.
They were disciplined for having the mug on the premises and removed it as asked.
4 MONTHS later they are called in to a disciplinary meeting and stood down, four other lifeboat men left in protest at the way brave men who do a vital job FOR FREE in their own time were treated.
This left the sea port of Whitby WITHOUT a full lifeboat crew.
Because of a cup someone did not like, who had never even seen it, but had acted on a report of an already carried out disciplinary procedure done and dusted months before!
This is frankly insane, so insane over a hundred whitby resident marched in protest to have these heroes reinstated, to do a job they do for no other reason than to save lives.
WTF YOU DARE call men like this Stupid asses?

@LenHazell53 I worked in a shipyard along 20,000 men, the only woman, for 13 years, becoming a boss in the process. Never would going out of your way to sexually shame a fellow worker, even in that all-male environment, have been acceptable, even then in the late 70's /mid 80's. They are not only dumb asses with Far too much time on their hands, they have the judgement of drunken newts, and that is why they were fired! Find an actual cause to howl about. They took the time out of their "busy" day to Make that stupid, adolescent piece of crap..........
