When dating, what was the most shallow/ worst thing that made you stop dating someone?
Be honest
We won't judge you...much.
He almost assaulted me because I said something negative about Mother Theresa. I actually had to leave the venue because his loud over-reaction drew attention to my comment and I suddenly found myself surrounded by him and 4 other angry men with pool cues.
Open mouth chewing. It’s not a big thing I know but good etiquette makes a massive difference. I mean that’s not the sole reason but that’s probably the most petty one of the bunch.
Misophonia affects me greatly, too! Hearing others chew is a game changer.
Sweat like a pig during sex, and one of those people with the conditon where they just sweat a right ton. Same one said something really cheesy during the act. I was catching feels(hormones probab ly) before that then POOF!
@Stevil See I don't mind sweat, it was a combination of things. I feel bad because he was really cute and nice, but he was a self admitted porn addict too and all that with a very unfortunate blurting out of less than stellar pillow talk just froze me. At first I was angry then I laughed, and not with him.
Also I was hoping he could distract me from my future husband, which didn't work.
I'm going through cancer treatment and he's taking a European vacation with his cousin. I'm not sure I will be seeing him when he gets back in three weeks. Lol.
30 years ago because she had a couple hairs on her chest...dumb move, nice lady
Chest or breast?
@lerlo Not doing a study. If my asking you a question bothers you, lemme know and I won’t ask you anymore questions. Easy peasy lemon squeazy.
The reason I asked is that it is very common that women have a few strays here and there on their areolas, especially with age, but not on their actual chest.
She didn't like Cheap Trick.
Or the one who broke up with me because I hated the movie ET.
Seriously - who doesn't like Cheap Trick?
@maturin1919 Wha wha what? Surely you jest
She had nothing to say. She would repeat the same phrase over and over, something like "That's cool". She did not have one original thought to add to the conversation.
For me it was because he was overweight.................shallow, shallow, shallow.
Most shallow? Hard to set a "Most" standard but here is a short list: (Not sure I would qualify any of these as shallow)
#1. "I'm a Christian"
#2. "Well, I guess I'm actually married and Yea, I also have kids that I'm taking care of but my husband is in prison now so it's ok".
#3. She had the gravel voice of a chicken with the mind of child.
Darn, can't come up with anything other than "my wife would not aproved it if she find out." I was right.
I’m going to have to say that I’m probably the most shallow/worst thing that made me stop dating someone.
She had two drinks before dinner...and on the second date I elected that would be the last.
that seems more shallow on your part 2 drinks???
That'd be a deal-breaker for me too. Only two? How could you ever have a fun night out with someone so sensible?
Oops I left off the part that by the time the meal came she was a bit snockered. She then had difficulty with eating.
This happened on the two occasions we went out to dinner. Took the winds out of any meaningful conversation!
I was dating a younger woman and when I got out and got dressed I found her going through my bank statements and stubs.
I'm usually not too shallow and can deal with quite alot of weirdness in a partner, but along with other logical reasons, what has made me call it quits on a girl was 1. Bad hygiene, as in she wouldn't shower after a long day and even when she did she wouldn't wash some certain parts like her hair or in her bellybutton which was smelling funky lol. 2. She blamed it on lupus but was always complaining she never felt well and refused to go do things cause random symptom caused by her hereditary lupus, a result of which she had little hard knobs in various places on her body she said were calcium deposits caused by the lupus, when I'd be touching her and ran across one, it would gross me out a little bit, but those items weren't the only reasons I left her.
Girl tried to get me to accept Jesus as my saviour.
Shallow reasons (different people):
She did not actively participate during sex.
She talked about Dan Brown as though he was a historian.
She did not really look like her profile pic...not horribly ugly or anything, just not as expected.
The first date included her being very excited about Twilight and how she had gone to Forks when she read the first book.
None of these were really a "stop dating" thing, as we never really started dating. But shallow reasons appear early.
