What did you learn today? (I learned not to eat salmon that's been in the fridge too long)
Dunno yet.
It's Thursday, 7:18 AM here in Songkhla, Thailand.
I learned how to make flaxseed hair gel........works wonders for us curly/wavy haired gals.
Please share! I have a daughter who is a curly girl.
Yes! Please share!
Okay, my curly brethren, here it is!
Add 1/4 C whole flaxseeds to 2C water (I use distilled for purity's sake). While stirring, bring to full boil (it will get foamy). Simmer 5 minutes while you continue to stir. Strain, and put into airtight container. Will keep in fridge for 3 weeks. You can add essential oils for scent(I used a blend of sandalwood and patchouli, added after I strained). The oil may separate, but when you rub gel between your hands, it blends well. Gel is gooey, egg white consistency, but not sticky. I'm loving it, especially because it is natural, with no "bad" stuff in it. Enjoy!
If I want a beer..I should stop and buy beer
@Redcupcoffee tomorrow..There will be BEER!!!!!
It happened. Life is good.
@Redcupcoffee oh the question of what kind...wjats on sale..today is Kiltlifter
I learned that extra thick gel cushion insoles are awesome.
@Redcupcoffee My neuropathy-plagued feet are very happy!
That still....I will need to learn some more tomorrow
@Redcupcoffee .....yeah, there is that ?
When someone starts coughing near you, RUN!
For the past three days, I have been sick after a woman coughed on me. Like an idiot, I stood there- sprayed by her coughing- as I searched my purse for cough drops to give her.
Now I'm running a fever and coughing.
Thanks, darling. I wish this low-grade fever would go away.
I learned today that my title has been changed from Business Resource Trainer to Corporate Services Trainer. No raise, but I feel all fancy now. ?
I learned how to replace the mowing belt (10 feet long) on my zero turn riding mower. Quite the challenge and yes there were some expletive words uttered in the process! ha ha
A couple of weeks ago I learned something similar - how to change the belt wheel, spindle & the blades.
I learned that a 44 ounce cup holds a lot of 7&7 lol
sugar rush!
@patchoullijulie Yeah but the seagram’s 7 whiskey balances it out lol
@PaulD Ahhhh...well you left that part out lol
@patchoullijulie 7&7 is 7 up mixed with seagram’s 7
@PaulD Ha ha...I'm showing my ignorance. I am a non drinker so I know so very little about 'drinks' lol
@patchoullijulie Well I used just drink everything straight so I don’t know much about mixed drinks either lol
That is a hard lesson. I met a new coworker today who told me she will remember my name because it is the feminine form of her dad's name. I don't know if that is remotely useful, but the only thing I can say that I didn't know when I got up this morning.
That a summer cold makes for a good diaphragm work out.
Omg... I’ve learned that one this summer too!
I live in BC and sockeye salmon NEVER has a chance of going off. It is devoured or canned or smoked but it is really hard to keep lit so you need a lot of that famous BC bud to keep it going..
Kev
That sucks. Hope you feel better soon.
Today I learned that I should have looked up the substitution ratio of
lemon zest to lemon juice BEFORE actually trying the recipe.
@Redcupcoffee, I would guess that @KKGator ended up making some strange faces.
@Redcupcoffee Chicken with greek yogurt, lemon (!!!), garlic and parmesean. It was edible, but a "little" too on the tangy side. I'll try it
again, but with less lemon.
I learned that my employer will have someone on staff to take over my job when I give notice on Friday. I didn't want to leave her stranded and was feeling bad about giving notice. Now I can feel a little better knowing that the new guy she just hired, has knowledge skills that will fit in just nicely.
And you will never going to forget that lesson... you will survive to remember!!!
@Redcupcoffee I sure will like to remember because do not seems good time. Happened once with sardines and was enough to Ban them for life! To Your Health!
