Absolutely wonderfully nothing. I've only been out once today: to get a pizza pie and movies. That it.

Had a friend come today to help us work with the horses. She trains horses for movies and helps actors learn to ride. She has two horses that she does exhibitions and shows in costumes. She was helping us train our boys to do some simple tricks. My horse is pretty green, it gets him more confident and supple. My daughter's horse is very well trained, so she wants to train him to lay down, so she can get on him without a mounting block. Other than that, just went and picked a saddle to try out and feed for pigs and chickens. The saddle didnt fit, so took it back and stopped for ice cream. Tonight, I'm relaxing. Tomorrow, riding lessons. My life is pretty wrapped in the horses and farm critters on the weekends.

Made waffles, baked bread, peaches look ready for some cobbler.

Have some work (a report to write) I should be doing, but not finding the energy to do it just as yet.

After preparing for a hurricane all week, being a bit on edge for days, seems the threat is over so preparations can be undone and emergency supplies can be put away until the next scare. Will probably just put my place back in normal order and tidy up. (Still have my outdoor furniture stacked up in my living room, etc.) Then hoping skies will clear enough to enjoy the full moon tonight, maybe with friends on the beach or from my lanai.

Work ...... ugh. ?

Purchase of desk and chair... desk need to hold 2 full pc's plus a laptop. Chair need be made for a Manager's Derriere with an Asshole Backbone. Going to Frys. After that... I want a haircut! First haircut in a new, strange city is always an adventure!!! I am in a place where nobody knows my hair.

I have been retired (or perhaps more accurately semi-retired as I have been looking for work) for about a year now, and so these days Saturdays are not a lot different than the rest of the week. I will probably smoke some salmon for dinner tonight and eat with friends that still work.

I did have an unusual thing happen this morning, though, and it is very much related to it being Saturday. I woke up in the morning with a memory of getting up on Saturday morning to watch Saturday morning cartoons on TV. That is what I would have done more than 50 years ago. Is that still a thing? I imagine that these days kid's cartoons are little more than commercials. Not that a lot of them weren't that back then. It's weird that I thought of that. Maybe I am starting my second childhood.

I do need to get stuff organized and if it was not smoky I'd be not getting the stuff done that needs doing.

Farmers market this morning, doing some cleaning now, and trying to work up the courage to go see a band by myself tonight.

Laundry done, lawn mowed, dishes all washed (well, I do need to unload the dishwasher, but why quibble?), and now I'm about to get a quick bite and meet and old friend at the local pub. Not sure about tonight, it depends on what me and my friend get involved in.

Clean the house, get lunch at my favorite sandwich shop, play squash, pick up my daughter from band practice and have her drive to a sleepover, then head to a series of short plays being produced by some coworkers. Should be a fun day.
