Greetings to the heathen community! I just joined yesterday to get my feet wet and perhaps connect with a like-minded member of the opposite sex!
As stated in my profile info, I work as a security guard and I keep unusual hours due to my continued night shift post. This shift, despite its obvious setbacks, enables me to get a lot of research/study/audio-book time logged.
I just finished "Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism" by Aron Ra in audio-book format. In my opinion, Aron is one of thee best communicators of science, reason, and evolution by natural selection. He is an extremely bright, well-read and insightful author and speaker. I would like to recommend this work to any and all of you as I found it enlightening and entertaining too!
I'm not sure what's next in my audio-book list as I have accumulated close to 100 of them since becoming a member at audible.com several years ago - and I'm continually adding new ones each month. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
And lastly, there doesn't seem to be many women open for dating on this website and that's fine by me. I have no problem making new friends and discussing new ideas to ultimately see where a small connection might turn into a larger and more established one. And even if it doesn't turn into anything serious, I could say I've made new friends!
I look forward to communicating with the agnostic.com community!
Welcome to the den of heathens. You have to buy us all cake.
Check out "Children of Time" on Audible. As an atheist you might find it really fascinating.

Welcome Danny! Read, post, comment, join groups and jump into chats. We have a good community here of free thinkers!!
I always have to wonder about the complainers. I've only been here a few weeks and I've seen more than a few. I think the site needs a disclaimer. Something like: "Welcome to Agnostic.com! This isn't Islam, you don't get 72 virgins just for joining and avoiding shellfish."
The way I see it, by using this site instead of Tinder etc. you're trading quantity for quality.
Sorry for hijacking your thread Danny. Welcome and enjoy!
Welcome to the site and thanks for not taking the disappointed angle too far; the community is still indeed pretty sparse but it's definitely possible to make some great friends and if you're willing to travel a little bit go on a few dates probably. But we hear the disappointed line from desperate sounding men pretty often around here so sounds like you're starting with a better attitude than many. Hope you enjoy it here!
